The learning partnership - Albany Tutoring
The Ideal Partnership

Ideally, learning is circular between student, parent, teacher and tutor. We are all working together to support raising the child’s learning potential.

The young person
For young people to get the most out of tutoring, please speak up. You are not in class and tutoring is all about you! Albany Tutoring wants to know what you are thinking and why. This helps us do the best job possible in helping you reach your learning potential. Be confident that our tutors will never put you down or make you feel anything less than the Rockstar you are! If you don’t grasp a concept, no worries, let us know, and we will try a different track. It’s never a bother, and you are important.

Parents
If you’re a parent, please check in with your child’s tutor regularly. Many parents advise us they learn so much from working with her child’s tutor. Albany Tutoring strongly encourages this as we want to support all who have a valued role in education.

Teachers
It is a tremendous help for students when teachers leverage the surrounding tutoring. Albany Tutoring reaches out to the teacher to ensure we have the current learning plan for each school and have the current student grade. Communicate regularly with the tutor to check in and review student strengths and weaknesses. For younger students, I’d recommend more frequent communication with tutors.

Tutors at Albany Tutoring
All our tutors recognise the importance of aligning their instruction with what’s going on in the classroom. Albany Tutoring teaches the Australian curriculum in the suggested scope and sequence and often in line with classroom learning.
